Step-by-step guidelines

The "Printing Receipts and KOTs from the Same Printer" option in the SalesPlay POS System allows users to configure a single printer to print both receipts for customers and Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs) simultaneously.

 

This streamlines the printing process, reducing the need for multiple printers and simplifying operations in establishments such as restaurants where both receipts for customers and order tickets for the kitchen are required.

In various business scenarios, optimizing resources is crucial. Our system allows you to effortlessly print both receipts and Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs) from the same printer, enhancing efficiency and cost savings.

Backoffice Set Up

  1. Log in to the Back Office Webportal.
  2. Navigate to "Settings" from the main menu.
  3. Access the "Addon Apps" section and select the 'KOT / BOT Groups' tab.
  4. Create a new group by clicking the "New Group" icon, provide a name, and save it.
  5. Select the created group and click the "Attach" button.
  6. Enable categories or products that need to be added to the KOT/BOT Group.
  7. Save your changes.

POS App Configuration

  1. Access the POS App's main menu.
  2. Navigate to "Settings."
  3. Click on "Printers."
  4. Add a new printer by clicking the "Add" button.
  5. Enter the printer’s name and other relevant details.
  6. Enable the "Print receipts and bills" option.
  7. Enable the "Print KOT / BOT" option.
  8. Enable the relevant "Printer Groups"
  9. Save your settings.

 

(If you already set up the page for normal receipts, do edit the existing printer setup page. Turn on the "Print receipts and bills” option first. Then enable the "Print KOT / BOT" option. After that enable "Printer Groups" options, and save your changes. )


Special Notes

If you've configured the printer setup page but are still not receiving KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket), it's essential to double-check a few settings:

 

  • Ensure that you have activated the "Print receipts and bills" option in the printer setup page.
  • Verify that you have enabled the "Print KOT / BOT" option.
  • Double-check that the "Printer Groups" option is enabled as well.
  • Once you've confirmed these settings, remember to save your changes.

By reviewing and confirming these settings, you should resolve any issues preventing the KOT from printing properly.

 

If you need to print multiple KOTs on the same printer, set up multiple printer setup pages. Enable the "Print KOT / BOT" option and turn off the "Print receipts and bills" option. Additionally, enable the "Printer Groups" option and save your changes.
