Step-by-step
A Pre-Bill is a temporary or draft version of a sales receipt issued before finalizing the transaction. It allows staff to present the total amount to the customer before processing payment. The Pre-Bill includes all selected products and the total price but does not finalize the sale or generate a tax invoice.
The Pre-Bill feature is widely used across various industries, especially in businesses where the payment process involves multiple steps or verification. It helps improve service efficiency, reduces errors, and allows customers to confirm their order and payment method before proceeding to final billing.
Provides customers with an estimated bill before payment
Helps businesses verify order details before finalizing
Enables smooth handover between staff (e.g., waiter and cashier)
Supports alternative currencies for tourist-friendly billing
When a customer finishes dining, the waiter generates a Pre-Bill and presents it to the customer. Based on this, the customer provides cash or card. The waiter then forwards the payment and order details to the cashier, who creates the final bill or receipt and hands it over to the customer.
A customer places an order for medicines at the prescription counter. The pharmacist generates a Pre-Bill for the selected items. Once the order is ready, the customer takes the Pre-Bill to the cashier, who completes the final payment and issues a final receipt.
