How to Change Drawer ESC/POS Commands in the POS System

The cash drawer in the POS system operates using ESC/POS commands that communicate with the connected printer. If your cash drawer fails to open, you may need to update or modify these commands to match your POS terminal model. Different POS terminals, such as iMin and Sunmi, may require specific ESC/POS commands.

 

Default Cash Drawer Commands

  • Standard Command: 1B,70,00,3C,FF
  • iMin POS Terminals: 10,14,00,00,00

If the cash drawer does not open, follow the steps below to update or change the drawer ESC/POS commands.


Steps to Change Drawer ESC/POS Commands

 

  1. Open the POS App Main Menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Printers.
  4. Click Add (+) button or edit an existing printer setup.
  5. Click Advanced Settings.
  6. Locate the Drawer ESC/POS Commands field.
  7. Check the existing command and, if necessary, update it to match your POS terminal.
  8. Click Save to apply the changes.
  9. Ensure that the “Connect Cash Drawer with Printer” option is enabled.
