Copy Product (Clone Product) Feature
Step-by-step guidelines
The “Copy Product” or “Clone Product” feature allows users to duplicate an existing product within their POS System. By creating a new product with similar attributes, this feature streamlines the process of adding similar products to the POS system.
Example
Imagine a textile shop that sells various dress styles. Instead of manually entering details for each new dress style (e.g., summer dresses, evening gowns, casual wear), the shop owner can use the clone feature:

Efficiency and Consistency: When dealing with a range of similar products (such as different dress styles in a textile shop), manually entering each product detail can be time-consuming. The clone feature ensures consistency by copying all relevant information from the original product, reducing data entry errors.
Time-Saving: Rather than starting from scratch, users can quickly create new products based on existing ones. This is especially beneficial when introducing seasonal variations, color options, or size variations.
Steps for copying or cloning a product
1. Log in to the POS Back Office Webportal.
2. From the main menu, select “Products.”
3. Navigate to the “Product List.”
4. Search for and select the product you want to copy or clone.
5. Check the box next to the product (using the checkbox on the left-hand side).
6. Look for the “COPY PRODUCT” button in the upper left corner.
7. Click the “COPY PRODUCT” button.
8. Enter the relevant details for the new product and click the “Save” button.
